And the beat goes on...

Well, I just got back from dancing my proverbial ass off (I know, I know, midnight is early to be getting back from a bar, but Linz has class at 8 tomorrow, so I respect her need for sleep), and I thought I'd blog a bit before bed. Otherwise, who knows when I'll next have time/inclination/ability?

This past weekend was the ski trip, a highly enjoyable--if exhausting--experience. My muscles were very, very angry at me following my escapades on the slopes of Mount Washington (surprisiongly, my neck muscles (hello sternocleidomastoids!) took the worst hit...go figure), but I don't regret trying to remember how to ski. There was a ton of fresh snow (we arrived Friday night in the middle of a snowstorm...it was very fun finding our cabin in the snow-filled dark, let me tell you), and I'm not particularly comfortable with deep powder--of which there was plenty--so Jon and I stayed mostly on the green runs. Fortunately, we were at about the same level, so I don't think either of us felt unchallenged.

The best part of the ski trip was the apres-ski socializing sessions with my classmates and their guests. Lots of alcohol and good conversation make for some vary enjoyable times! Jon fit in very well, and managed to get several people addicted to Ricochet Robots, a very cool board game (highly strategic!) which I am dying to play again. It's not often I get to work my brain is such a fun, abstract way.

Anyways, long and short, skiing was fun, but so are my fellow IMPers. And thank god we didn't get stranded on top of the mountain in the end (with the gas gauge on 'E'). Also, snow is suprisingly heavy.

That is all, as I am incoherent. Largely. At the moment. And am greatly desiring sleep.
